Here's a sample recipe:
| German Style Red Cabbage (4-6 servings) 1 quart shredded red cabbage |
Add shredded cabbage and sliced apples to boiling water. Stick
cloves into small onion and add to cabbage. Cover and cook until tender (about 15
minutes). Remove onion and cloves. Add butter, salt, and vinegar just before
serving. Variation: Green cabbage may be prepared in this way. |
