This is where you can learn about the types of massage that
we do.
- Swedish Massage:
a general whole body massage
using oils or creams on the skin to facilitate treatment. This
is the basis of all Western forms of massage treatment and is a
highly relaxing form of massage.
- Deep Tissue Massage:
this
approach is powerful and sometimes painful although the benefits can be
great. It is helpful in restructuring the body, improving posture
and releasing tight muscles and trigger points.
- Myofascial Massage:
is a form of bodywork that is manipulative in nature
and uses long, slow, stretching strokes to release tension in the fascia,
the tissue structure which lines and covers nearly everything inside
and around our bodies.
- Hawaiian Lomi Lomi: is a form
of massage developed from the teaching of Aunty Margaret Machado, a
Hawaiian Kahuna, from the ancient practices of the Hawaiian peoples.
It is a very relaxing while at the same time stimulating massage.
- Hot Stone Massage: using hot
stone to warm up the muscle tissue produces a very calming and
relaxing massage. The stones are used in the therapists hand
while using the long gliding strokes of standard Swedish Massage.
- Spa Scrubs/Wraps: Scrubs and
wraps are used to exfoliate dead skin, hydrate the body and also to
flush toxins from the body. A scrub or wrap prior to a Swedish
Massage can greatly facilitate the removal of waste products from
the body.
- ETPS:
- Energy Balancing: is a
process of reading the chakra energy in the body and using the
therapist's energy in combination with the client to balance those
chakra energies that may be out of balance. Additionally
special aromatherapy essential oils may be used.
- Esogetic Medicine/Color
Puncture: is a creation of Peter Mendel, a German
naturopath. This non-invasive healing modality can be beneficial to
anyone in acute, chronic pain or for designated areas of concern.
It consists of the application of light and color on the acupuncture
points to clear the meridian and reinform the cells. This system is
like peeling an onion and works on a spiritual, mental, and physical
level.
A person can go through the process of self transformation, layer
after layer, in the case of illness or personal consciousness
expansion. One can also opt for specific treatment such as support
for the immune system, detox, balancing the body polarity, and pain
management. These are only some of the areas that can be addressed
- Energy Restructuring:
is a spiritual intervention to clean old imprints and restructure
the luminous body. This system I use is called illumination.
Basically, it is the removal of negative and karmic imprint from the
luminous field. The point is that the luminous body informs the
physical through the Chakra. This facilitates healing in the
physical plane and regeneration. Our basic session lasts 1 to 1 1/2
hours for assessment, illumination, and spiritual intervention and
in some cases heavy detoxification of the soul.
-
Caring Touch: combines Swedish Massage, Reiki, Color
Puncture, and Reflexology. This combination provides deep relaxation
resulting in a feeling of well being and wholeness
-
Accumassage: light and color massage therapy.
-
REIKI: A Japanese healing modality. Reiki means
universal life force. Other names are Prana and Chi. Reiki helps to reduce
stress and to promote relaxation.
-
Spiritual Counseling: helps the individual remember who he
or she is. In a safe environment through rituals, guided imagery, they are
able to let go of old patterns, rewrite a new script and transform
dysfunction.
-
Arthromassage: combines ETPS, Color Puncture, and
arthritic medical massage. This wholistic approach facilitates reduction of
acute and chronic pain and the regeneration of spasms, the joints become
more flexible, and balance and wholeness can be restored. A life style
modification will result in a lasting effect.
-
Reflexology: A Chinese modality based on the mirroring of
the body's glands specifically on the feet and hands. Pressure on specific points improves circulation,
releases blocks and promotes relaxation.
- Chair Massage: Standard
Swedish, Deep Tissue or Trigger Point Massage techniques done in a
comfortable Massage Chair in the seated position.
